Our commitment to an inclusive web experience
Tru-North Construction LLC is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe everyone deserves equal access to information about our roofing services, and we work to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.
What We Do
We have taken the following steps to ensure our website is accessible:

All interactive elements including links, buttons, forms, and menus are fully navigable using a keyboard. Tab through the page, and use Enter or Space to activate controls.
Screen Reader Support
We use semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and proper heading structure so screen readers can accurately convey our content and navigation.
Color Contrast
Text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios. Our design uses high-contrast color combinations for readability in all lighting conditions.
Alt Text on Images
All meaningful images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are properly marked so screen readers skip them.
Responsive Design
Our website works on any screen size including phone, tablet, and desktop. Content reflows and scales appropriately without horizontal scrolling.
Focus Indicators
Visible focus outlines appear on all interactive elements when navigating by keyboard, so you always know where you are on the page.
Standards We Follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines are organized around four principles:
- Perceivable: Information and interface components are presented in ways users can perceive (text alternatives, captions, sufficient contrast)
- Operable: Interface components and navigation are operable by all users (keyboard accessible, enough time, no seizure-triggering content)
- Understandable: Information and interface operation are understandable (readable text, predictable behavior, input assistance)
- Robust: Content is robust enough to be interpreted by a wide variety of user agents and assistive technologies
Known Limitations
We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of our website. Currently known limitations include:
- AI chat assistant: Our AI chat widget may not be fully optimized for all screen readers. For the best experience, we recommend calling us directly at (541) 231-0686.
- Roof scanner tool: The interactive satellite-based roof scanner may have limited keyboard-only functionality for map interactions. Contact us for assistance with roof measurements and estimates.
- Third-party content: Some embedded content from third-party services (such as Google Maps) may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We encourage those providers to improve their accessibility.
We are actively working to address these limitations and improve the overall accessibility of the site.
