Emergency response

Under 2 hours.
Every time.

When you call our 24/7 storm line, Lorin picks up personally. We dispatch a crew immediately, tarp the damage before the next rain hits, and start the documentation process the same day.

24/7 Storm Line
No answering service, no voicemail during storms. Lorin Lynch picks up the phone personally on weekends, holidays, and at 2am because it doesn't matter when you call. When your roof is open to the sky, you need a real person.
2-Hour Response
Our crew stages equipment during storm warnings. When the call comes, we're rolling with tarps, fasteners, and emergency repair materials. Average response time: under 90 minutes in Lincoln and Tillamook counties.
Same-Day Tarping
Heavy-duty UV-resistant tarps secured with 2x4 battens and ring-shank nails. Not draped and weighted with sandbags, but properly mechanically fastened to prevent blow-off in the next gust. Your home stays dry.
Immediate Documentation
HD photos and video of all damage from the moment we arrive. Time-stamped, geotagged, and organized by area. This documentation is critical for your insurance claim, and most contractors skip it.

Insurance claims

We handle the
insurance company.

Filing a roof insurance claim is stressful and confusing. We've processed hundreds of storm damage claims on the Oregon Coast. We know what adjusters look for, what documentation they need, and how to make sure you get what you're owed.

01
Document Everything
Before we touch anything, we photograph and video every inch of damage. Wide shots for context, close-ups for detail. Time-stamped and geotagged. This becomes the foundation of your claim.
02
Emergency Stabilization
We tarp the damage, board up if needed, and prevent further water intrusion. Your policy covers reasonable emergency repairs, so we document these costs separately for your claim.
03
File the Claim
We help you file the initial claim with your insurance company. We know the right language to use, the right forms to submit, and the right timeline to follow. Many homeowners lose money by filing incorrectly.
04
Meet the Adjuster
We attend the adjuster visit with you. We walk the roof with them, point out every area of damage, and make sure nothing gets missed. Our documentation package gives them everything they need.
05
Negotiate if Needed
If the initial settlement doesn't cover the full scope of work, we prepare a supplement with detailed line-item pricing. We know Xactimate pricing and can speak the adjuster's language.
06
Complete the Repair
Once your claim is approved, we schedule the full repair or replacement. We work directly with your insurance company on payment. You pay your deductible and that's it.
Oregon Coast storms

The coast takes
a beating.

Oregon Coast homes face some of the most severe weather conditions in the continental US. Understanding the storm patterns helps you know what to watch for and when to call.

November - March: Major Storm Season
Pacific atmospheric rivers bring sustained 40-60 mph winds with gusts over 80 mph. Sideways rain drives water into every gap in flashing, ridge caps, and pipe boots. This is when 75% of our emergency calls come in.
Wind Events: King Tides & Bomb Cyclones
Two to three times per winter, true wind events push gusts over 100 mph on exposed headlands. These events rip shingles, peel metal panels, and snap tree limbs onto roofs. Check your roof within 24 hours of any 70+ mph event.
Year-Round: Persistent Moisture
Even outside storm season, the coast averages 67 inches of rain annually. Chronic moisture exposure degrades sealants, accelerates moss growth, and slowly works water into compromised flashing. Annual inspections catch this damage early.
Signs of storm damage
Missing, cracked, or curling shingles visible from the ground
Granules from shingles accumulating in gutters or downspouts
Metal flashing around chimney, vents, or skylights lifted or bent
Water stains, drips, or dampness on ceilings or attic surfaces
Fallen tree limbs or debris on or around the roof
Ridge cap shingles visibly lifted or missing
Gutter sections pulled away from fascia board
Siding or soffit panels cracked, loose, or missing
After Any Major Storm
1. Do NOT climb on your roof because it may be structurally compromised
2. Check your attic for water intrusion or daylight showing through
3. Photograph any visible damage from the ground
4. Move valuables away from any active leak areas
5. Call our 24/7 storm line for a same-day assessment

Repair vs. replacement

Temporary repair
vs. full replacement.

Not every storm means a new roof. We give you an honest assessment of whether a targeted repair will restore your roof or whether the damage warrants full replacement.

Repair Makes Sense When:
Damage is limited to one slope or section of the roof
Missing shingles can be matched with the same product line
Flashing damage is localized to one or two penetrations
The roof is less than 15 years old and otherwise in good condition
Decking beneath the damaged area is dry and structurally sound
Insurance estimate covers the targeted repair cost
Replacement Makes Sense When:
Damage spans multiple slopes or more than 30% of the roof
Roof was already near end of life before the storm
Decking is wet, soft, or showing signs of rot across large areas
Shingle product has been discontinued and no match is available
Multiple previous patches have created a patchwork of different materials
Insurance settlement covers replacement cost with depreciation waiver
Insurance coverage

What your policy
actually covers.

Most Oregon homeowners insurance policies cover sudden storm damage. Here's what typically is and isn't covered — and how to maximize your claim.

Typically Covered
Wind damage including missing shingles, lifted panels, and blown-off ridge caps
Falling tree/branch damage to roof structure
Hail damage such as pitting, cracking, and granule loss
Emergency tarping and temporary stabilization costs
Water damage to interior caused by storm-created roof openings
Replacement of undamaged materials needed to match (code upgrade)
Debris removal from the roof and property
Typically NOT Covered
Wear and tear from gradual deterioration over time
Moss damage and biological growth
Pre-existing leaks that worsened during the storm
Damage from deferred maintenance (clogged gutters, failed sealant)
Flood damage (requires separate flood insurance policy)
Cosmetic damage that doesn't affect function (depending on policy)
Roof over 25 years old (some policies pay actual cash value, not replacement)
Not sure what your policy covers?
We'll review your policy language and advise you on coverage before you file. No charge.

Documentation

Documentation wins
insurance claims.

The single biggest reason insurance claims get underpaid or denied is poor documentation. We've seen it hundreds of times — the damage was real, but the evidence wasn't strong enough. We make sure that never happens to you.

High-resolution photos of every damaged area, both exterior and interior
Wide-angle context shots showing the full scope of damage
Close-up detail shots showing material failure and water intrusion paths
Time-stamped video walk-through narrated by our crew chief
Written damage assessment with scope of work and pricing
Before/after photos of emergency stabilization work
Weather data from the storm event (NOAA records, wind speeds)
Your documentation package includes
Photo Report
50-100+ HD photos organized by roof section with annotations identifying specific damage points. Delivered as a PDF you can forward directly to your adjuster.
Scope of Work
Detailed line-item estimate in Xactimate format, which is the same software your insurance company uses. This eliminates back-and-forth on pricing.
Weather Verification
NOAA weather data confirming wind speeds, precipitation, and storm duration at the time of damage. This proves the event was severe enough to cause the damage claimed.
Code Compliance Addendum
If your repair triggers Oregon code upgrade requirements (like re-decking, ventilation, or ice-and-water shield), we document the code section and cost so it's included in your claim.
