Gutter ServicesOregon CCB #236084

60-90 Inchesof rain. Every year.

The Oregon Coast gets more annual rainfall than almost anywhere in the lower 48. Your gutters aren't decorative — they're the entire drainage system protecting your foundation, fascia, siding, and landscaping. We install, repair, and maintain gutter systems built for this kind of rain.

Gutter systems

Built for
coastal rain.

Seamless Aluminum

Our most popular gutter system. Custom fabricated on-site from a single piece of aluminum, so no seams means no leak points. Available in 5-inch and 6-inch K-style profiles and 25+ colors. For the Oregon Coast, we recommend 6-inch with oversized 3x4 downspouts to handle peak flow during atmospheric river events. Aluminum won't rust, is lightweight, and carries a 20+ year lifespan with minimal maintenance.

$8 - $14/linear ft installed
Copper Gutters

The premium choice for historic homes and high-end properties. Copper develops a beautiful green patina over time that complements coastal architecture. Naturally antimicrobial, which inhibits moss and algae growth. Soldered seams create a watertight system that can last 75-100+ years. We fabricate custom copper profiles including half-round, K-style, and box designs.

$25 - $40/linear ft installed
Gutter Guards & Leaf Protection

On the Oregon Coast, gutter guards aren't optional because they're essential. Pine needles, moss, leaves, and coastal debris clog unprotected gutters within weeks. We install micro-mesh and reverse-curve guard systems that keep debris out while allowing maximum water flow. Reduces cleaning frequency from quarterly to annually.

Why gutters matter

Failed gutters
cause real damage.

When gutters fail on the Oregon Coast, the consequences are severe and expensive. Here's what happens when water isn't properly managed on a home that receives 60-90 inches of rain per year.

Foundation Damage
Water cascading off the roof without gutters saturates the soil around your foundation. Over time, this causes settling, cracking, and in severe cases, structural failure. Foundation repair costs $5,000-$30,000+, while gutter installation costs a fraction of that.
Fascia & Soffit Rot
Overflowing or clogged gutters keep fascia boards perpetually wet. On the coast, wood rot sets in within 1-2 seasons. Once fascia fails, water reaches the rafter tails and roof deck, turning a $500 repair into a $5,000 problem.
Siding Damage
Without gutters or with misaligned gutters, water runs down your siding with every rain. This accelerates paint failure, stains siding, and drives moisture into wall cavities where mold grows unseen. Siding replacement costs $8,000-$20,000+.
Basement & Crawlspace Flooding
Improperly directed downspouts channel thousands of gallons of water directly into your crawlspace or basement each year. This creates mold, attracts pests, and degrades floor joists. Proper downspout extensions cost under $200, while remediation costs thousands.

Downspout Installation
Proper downspout placement is critical for drainage. We install 2x3 or 3x4 downspouts with extensions that direct water minimum 4 feet from your foundation.
Ice dam prevention

While rare on the central Oregon Coast, ice dams can form during cold snaps in inland valleys and higher elevations. Ice dams occur when snow melts on a warm roof, refreezes at the cold eave, and backs water under the shingles.

Proper attic insulation prevents warm-roof conditions
Adequate soffit ventilation keeps eave temperatures consistent
Heat cable installation on valleys and eaves for high-risk areas
Ice-and-water shield membrane at eave line during roof replacement
Rain diversion systems

For properties where standard downspout discharge isn't sufficient, we install rain diversion systems including:

French drain connections from downspouts to underground drainage
Rain barrel and cistern connections for rainwater collection
Splash block and dry well systems for controlled absorption
Underground piping to street drainage or natural discharge points
