Springfield is a working-class city of roughly 63,000 people in Lane County, directly east of Eugene. While the two cities share a metro area, Springfield has its own identity — a mill town turned modern community with deep roots in timber, manufacturing, and outdoor recreation along the McKenzie River corridor.
The city stretches from the Glenwood waterfront district along the Willamette through the historic Main Street core, east into the Thurston hills, and north toward the Mohawk Valley.
